How is the Backlight Chimney STC-BC manufactured?

The Backlight Window STC-BC is manufactured using a compression molding process.  It uses heat and pressure to give a product its final form.  In a pre-heated cavity, a vertical press mechanism is used to shape and apply wide-meshed cross-linking to the silicone in its plastic state.
The tool is designed for open chimneys.
An opaque base color prevents diffused light from leaking out of the chimney.
